The classification is based on the ride’s motion and acceleration profile. Level 2 applies to complex rides — those with vertical movement, block zones, looping, or pendulum motion generating acceleration above 3G. Level 3 applies to non-complex rides with acceleration below 3G. Level 1 covers design review for new or modified installations, and Level 4 covers small attractions such as inflatables, trampolines, and climbing walls.
